Spay/Neuter &
Medical Care:
Before adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered
and their shots brought up-to-date.
The BCCR does it's best to make sure that dogs needing
additional vet-recommended care get the assistance
they need before placement.
Please note: In the case of puppies and very
young dogs, the first/second shots are usually
provided, but once the dog has been placed, the
follow-up and boosters are the responsibility of
the adopter.
Adoption & Fees:
Adoption fees vary between $80.00
- $500.00, depending on the age and health
of a dog (see below).
The average vetting cost per dog is $500 - $600+,
so the fees are necessary in order to help
other incoming dogs.
