Our Goals


The BCCR is a Canadian registered charitable organization rescuing Chihuahuas in British Columbia, Canada.

We take Chihuahuas that are no longer wanted or can no longer be cared for and find them loving, safe, forever homes.  We also provide foster care and/or a safe haven for an emotionally troubled dog.

By educating the public, we pledge to stop puppy mills, put an end to pet store animal sales and end the abuse of these special animals.  We also strive to stop irresponsible breeding strictly for-profit without regard for health and temperament.

We are here to provide information and help to all Chihuahua owners, so please feel free to write us anytime with any questions or comments!

No-Kill Policy

We stand by a strict "no kill" policy for any reason other than to compassionately end pain and suffering.  This must be determined by vet recommendation only.
